What We Stand For
Incense disappears as it burns, but what goes into it matters.
At OLFA, we look closely at every material, question every addition and formulate with purpose. We do not pretend that natural means harmless. Burning anything creates smoke. We simply believe that what burns should be there for a reason.
What Goes In Matters
Each OLFA incense stick is handcrafted using carefully selected natural aromatic ingredients, essential oils, aromatic resins and plant-based binders.
Every material must contribute to the scent, structure or performance of the incense.
We build each formulation around the character of the raw materials themselves. Rather than adding more for the sake of complexity, we use what is needed to support the burn and allow the woods, resins and botanicals to remain recognisable.
If it doesn’t need to burn, it doesn’t need to be there.
Formulated With Transparency
OLFA incense is not dipped in synthetic perfume mixtures and is not made from fragranced sawdust.
Our formulations are built from aromatic materials such as sandalwood, resins, botanicals and essential oils, supported by plant-based binders. A small amount of coconut-shell activated charcoal may be used as a neutral burn regulator.
The Oud Collection is the exception within our scent lines. It combines real agarwood material with a high-quality agarwood fragrance oil to create a ready-to-light interpretation of traditional oud.
Made Slowly
Our incense is handcrafted and hand-rolled in small production cycles.
Natural materials can vary from one harvest to another. Their scent, moisture and burning behaviour must be understood before a formulation is ready.
Some scents take months of adjustment, resting and burn testing. When an important material becomes difficult to source, we would rather wait than quietly replace it with a cheaper substitute.
Less Smoke. More Scent.
OLFA incense is formulated so that smoke does not overpower the aromatic materials.
The experience begins before the stick is lit. Heat then reveals further layers, allowing the scent to unfold gradually and settle into the atmosphere rather than arriving all at once.
We cannot claim that burning incense is smoke-free. What we can do is formulate carefully, test repeatedly and avoid materials that serve no necessary purpose.
Packaging With A Second Life
OLFA packaging is designed to protect the incense and preserve its scent without unnecessary layers.
As OLFA grows, we will continue looking for practical ways to reduce packaging while preserving the quality and experience of the product.
People, Animals And Materials
OLFA incense is vegan and is not tested on animals.
We work with aromatic woods, resins, botanicals and other natural materials whose quality depends on where and how they are sourced. We seek accurate botanical identity, clear origin information and responsible sourcing wherever reliable information is available.
We will not present an ingredient as responsible merely because it is natural. Our responsibility is to keep asking where it came from, why it is in the formulation and whether it belongs there.

Responsibility is not a finished statement.
OLFA is still growing, and some of the systems we want to measure are still being built. As reliable information becomes available, we intend to report more clearly on our materials, packaging and production practices.
Until then, we would rather be precise about what we know than make claims we cannot properly support.
